​Julia Capizzi is a multimedia engagement journalist with a passion for audience development and social media management. She received her M.A. in Engagement Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism in December 2021. She developed the social media and communications strategies for nonprofits, news organizations, tech startups and more. Most recently, her work as the social media and reader engagement editor for The Current GA, Georgia's only nonprofit investigative newsroom, has led to a 124% increase in Instagram followers and skyrocketing engagement and website referrals. She is especially adept at collaborating with editorial and communications teams, enhancing newsletter strategies, leveraging data and analytics, and experimenting with new engagement techniques to create effective and impactful messaging.​
